Any modern standard A-level physics textbook will be helpful. The following are recommended:

Duncan , T. Advanced physics, 5 th edition, Hodder Murray, London, 2000.

Dobson K., Grace D. and Lovett D. Physics, 3 rd Edition, Collins Educational, 2008.

There are also a number of books on environmental physics which are useful for parts of
the course and will help with environmental applications of physics (particularly related to
climate change, renewable energy and radioactivity). Useful examples include:

Smith , C. Environmental physics, 1st Edition, Routledge, 2001.

Boeker , E. and van Grondelle, R. Environmental Physics, 3rd Edition, Wiley, 2011.
