General Solid State Physics Textbooks
Most good solid state textbooks will contain a chapter on superconductivity. Since this course is a masters level course, it will include material that ranges between these introductorary chapters and those of the specialist post-gradute level text books in the second section of this list.
Ashcroft and mermin, Solid state physics: Chapter 34 A good general solid state physics textbook. Available as an Online Course Reading in Minerva. If you are going to own just one text book for solid state, then this or Kittel would be a good choice.
Blundell, Superconductivity : a very short introduction A very readable and compact introduction to the history and development of superconductivity. Provides a good background to the field without going into any detail of the physics
Annett, Superconductivity, superfluids, and condensates Part of the OUP Masters Series in Condensed Matter Physics, covers most of the syllabus for this module at a very appropriate level.
Tinkham: Introduction to Superconductivity An in depth introduction to superconductivity that goes well beyond the scope of the course. Worth a read either as a reference or particularly if you are considering post-graduate research in the field.
Waldram: Superconductivity of metals and cuprates Anotherpost-graduate level introduction to superconductivity that is well worth consulting. Generally most people seem to either prefer Tinkham or Waldram.
T. Van Duzer, C. W. Turner. Principles of superconductive devices and circuits Concentrates on the applied aspects of superconductivity, particulary good at covering Jospehson junctions and devices
