Tutor information is taken from the Module Catalogue

The Brotherton has lots of books on many aspects of performance practice: historical, cultural, general interpretation and theory, etc.  I'm not suggesting that you go over the top on this.  The three books below cover the most common areas of historical practice, as well as a little but very good book on Alexander technique.  Please let me know if you want any further ideas. ed. Burton, Anthony - " A performer's guide to music of the baroque period. ", ABRSM Publishing

Brown, Clive - " Classical and Romantic performing practice 1750-1900 ", Oxford University Press

Macdonald, Robert, and Ness, Caro - Secrets of Alexander technique , Dorling Kindersley
